Article 1 – Purpose
These Terms of Use govern access to and use of metalstat.com ("Metalstat"), published by Maxence Roux. Metalstat tracks the value of a physical precious metals portfolio (gold, silver, platinum and palladium): coins, bars and jewelry.
By creating an account, the user accepts these Terms of Use without reservation.
Article 2 – Access to the service
The website is accessible free of charge to anyone with internet access. Some features require an account. Premium features are subject to the Terms of Sale.
The publisher endeavours to ensure continuous access without guaranteeing availability. The service may be interrupted for maintenance, updates or force majeure.
Article 3 – User account
The user must be an adult, provide a valid email address and choose a password that they keep confidential. They are responsible for all activity on their account.
The user may delete their account at any time in settings or by writing to [EMAIL]. Their data is then erased according to the retention periods in the Privacy Policy.
Article 4 – Plans
- Free plan: track up to 15 items, live prices, total value and breakdown by metal.
- Premium and Lifetime plans: additional features described on the Pricing page.
The publisher may change plan features. Existing subscribers retain the features they paid for until the end of their period.
Article 5 – Nature of the information provided
Precious metal prices come from third-party providers. They are indicative, may be delayed and do not correspond to dealers' prices, which include a premium or discount.
Values calculated by Metalstat rely on information entered by the user (weight, purity and purchase price). The publisher does not verify this information.
Metalstat does not provide investment, tax or legal advice. Tax assistance tools are informational simulations. Users should consult a qualified professional before making decisions.
Article 6 – Liability
The publisher cannot be held liable for:
- purchase, sale or investment decisions based on the website's information;
- errors, delays or unavailability of prices provided by third parties;
- data loss caused by improper use or an event beyond its control;
- temporary interruption of the service.
Users are advised to export their data regularly.
Article 7 – User obligations
The user agrees not to attempt to access other users' accounts, disrupt the website, extract data in bulk by automated means or use the service for illegal purposes.
In the event of a breach, the publisher may suspend or delete the account after notifying the user, except in an emergency.
Article 8 – Intellectual property
The website and its content are protected. Users retain ownership of their entered data and grant the publisher only the right to process it to provide the service.
Article 9 – Personal data
Data processing is described in the Privacy Policy.
Article 10 – Changes to the Terms of Use
The publisher may amend these Terms of Use. Registered users are notified by email or on the website at least 15 days before significant changes take effect.
Article 11 – Governing law
These Terms of Use are governed by French law. An amicable resolution is sought first in any dispute. Failing this, French courts have jurisdiction, subject to consumer protection rules.
